Video Post Production

Openings/Closes

Due:  February 12, 2002

Task:   To create opens and closes for various forms of programs.

You will create 8 opens and 8 closes.

Tools needed:            Backgrounds shot in video production

                         SVHS for master material.

                         Zip disk with audio recorded onto it.

Steps to do:

Lay down color bars at the beginning of your first open.

Lay down a countdown for each of your opens.

Make sure with each open that you have one second of video before the start of audio and five seconds of video after your audio ends.

Once video ends place 5 seconds of black at the end.

Import your video into your new project within your folder.

The video will be of your backgrounds

   Make title pages over your backgrounds.  You will make the decision on what backgrounds, and font styles, you will use.  In addition you need to remember to put a shadow on your titles to separate them from the backgrounds. 

    Below on the left are  the titles that we want you to create.  On the right is the audio that you will cut in the KLABs to a zip.  Remember in Adobe Premiere that all items from the Zip should be copied to the hard drive.  Once copied to the hard drive you may import audio, photos or instrumental music into your project folder.

Remember we want these to be readable by the majority of a tv audience.
