Cropping Images In Adobe Photoshop

Open Adobe Photoshop by clicking on the Apple Menu in the upper left-hand corner of the desktop, and selecting applications – Adobe Photoshop 5.5

Open your image document and drag the bottom right-hand corner of document window until boundary edges are visible i.e. “Solid Gray Area”.

In the tools palette, click and hold down on the top left-hand button.  Four button choices will appear, choose the crop button.

In the file menu, choose window – show information.

In the information palette, select the ruler pull down menu and select pixels.  Then enter 720 for height, and 480 for width.

Place the crop tool slightly above the upper left-hand of the image.  Press and hold the mouse button, and drag to the lower right-hand corner.

You can drag the crop rectangle you have just drawn to the appropriate location.  Anything outside of the rectangle will be removed.

Double click on the image, and you will be prompted to select yes, no, or cancel.  Select yes.

Save your image.
