This site is about change. Changes. Changes to education, changes to the teaching profession, changes to the student "profession," and changes to the traditional distinctions made between education and training.

I am an art historian. So, I see change through the lens of my field. And I comment on what I see happening to the teaching and learning of art history. But the changes are far deeper than any field. Far deeper than any department or college or school. 

The Internet holds great promise for education and the educator as well as the student. It also harbors threats to education. It's an interesting time.
