Practical Beginning Theory, 8th ed. Boston, Massachusetts: McGraw Hill, 2000. [Includes 2 CDs]
Required Course Packet: The course packet is available as individual, downloadable files. They are all listed on the Class Schedule and Assignments page.

Other Necessities:

(1) A computer with audio capabilities, a printer, web access and email.
(2) In order to view and print the .pdf files hypertexted on the class schedule, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader which is free from Adobe. Click here!
(3) You must have the Quicktime Player installed on your computer to hear the sound files for the dictation self tests. Quicktime for Mac or Windows is free from Apple. Click here!
(4) Have plenty of pencils on hand. All returned work must be done in pencil.
(5) You must have access to a piano keyboard.
