Mr. Gumpy sets out for a wonderful outing in his boat but soon encounters children and animals who beg to come along. Mr. Grumpy warns them to behave but in the end the animals revert back to their normal behavior. The boat capsizes but all the animals swim safely to shore and join Mr. Gumpy for tea. The repetitive phrases will have children joining in the reading and the illustrations will hold their interest. This is a great book for young children. (Board Book)
