How much do you know about animals? Jackson combines his knowledge of facts and fun in this collection of 18 poems about animals, both large and small. Animal Mischief is filled with many rhymes; however, some seemed forced which may leave small children confused. The last five pages of the book are filled with interesting facts about the animals featured throughout the text. The facts are very helpful in gaining knowledge about the animals featured in the poems. The use of colored pencils by Jacobson, are exciting and eye- catching. The illustrations are warm, inviting, and are very detailed. (Trade Book)
