April Foolishness, written by Teresa Bateman and illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott, is a delightful story of grandkids trying to pull an April fools joke on their grandpa. During the whole story grandpa calmly makes breakfast while the grandkids try to play tricks on him. The grandkids tell grandpa everything from the cows getting loose to the sheep eating a neighbor’s yard, but grandpa cannot be fooled. The illustrations in this picture book make you feel like you are really on the farm with the grandkids. This book would be great to read on April Fools Day and children will have a great time listening to this story. (Trade Book)
