To Establish Justice: Citizenship and the Constitution is an excellent account of the struggles minority groups in the United States have faced, suffered, and overcome. The book also illustrates the meanings and interpretations that the constitution and its amendments have taken on as each generation has faced new problems, issues, or ideas. Myriad groups are included in this collection of tribulations that minorities have faced. Although the actions and issues addressed in the book are accounts of true events that happened in the United States, some of the events are extremely graphic and may be unsettling to young readers.
