Anne Frank in the World 1929-1945 is a collection of photographs that chronicles the events from Anne Frank’s birth in 1929 to her death in a concentration camp in 1945. The photos provide a visual time line and the accompanying text contributes extra insights into the events of this historical period. Also included are photos of prejudice and social injustice that continue to exist in the world today. Because of the sensitive topics of death, cruelty, and hatred, this book is not appropriate for very young readers. However, it is an important book in that it makes us aware of how it is possible for one group to spread terror and fear across the entire world. (Trade Book)
