An array of poems by authors such as Jack Prelutsky and William Shakespeare help to comprise this book of poetry about the mysterious fairies and the land in which they live. Although the fairies are described as night people, the illustrator depicts the fairies and other characters in bright vivid colors. The end pages feature beautiful flowers and fairies with faces like children. “Lullaby for a Fairy Queen” is a poem about spiders, frog and snail from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Night Dream. This poem is a lullaby only a fairy could love. This book is suited for a child who is interested in make believe and has a vivid imagination. (Trade Book)
