An excellent way to introduce letters individually or combined to make words.  A story is told about the letters working together to escape to the moon.  Murphy shows how letters combined make words, which turn into the objects needed to make the escape.  Each letter is shown to have its own sound and importance in making the escape.  This book will allow early readers to get excited about forming words and reading.  This book would be a great way to introduce the alphabet to young children as well as to help students stay interested in learning the alphabet and reading.
