I absolutely adored this book! The book has a southwestern theme and the first thing you notice are the bright and colorful illustrations. The text has a repetitive phrase and the story is reminiscent of “The Little Red Hen.” Only, the hen is an armadillo! This is fun read for young children and could also be used with older children to compare this version with the original version. Overall, this is a fabulous book that is definitely worth taking the time to read. Children will giggle with delight! (Trade Book)
