This simple, exciting book celebrates the sport of basketball. The author Susan Kuklin teamed up with female WNBA basketball player, Sheryl Swoops to create this book for children. Swoops is shown throughout the text displaying the specifics of basketball like dribbling, shooting, and jumping; but the text also covers her inner thoughts about the sport. The photographs work well with the simple text. This book would be a great addition to a unit on sports or female role models. (Trade Book)
