Still Going On Radio Documentary

Still Going On

In 1995-96, a multi-state tribute to African American composers was celebrated through the “Still Going On” project. This tribute especially honored composer William Grant Still in his centenary year (Still lived from 1895-1978).

A major radio series, produced by Robert Franklin former station manager of WESM, an award-winning National Public Radio affiliate at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland, drew from highlights of that tour. The four-part radio documentary was awarded the 1997 International CINDY Award.
