The primary mission of the Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Psychology is to provide a sound understanding of the basic scientific principles of psychology. We believe this foundation will serve students who choose acquire advanced degrees in psychology or related fields, as well as those who enter people oriented occupations following graduation. Faculty within the Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Psychology represent the diversity of this field. Sub disciplines include social psychology, cognitive psychology, experimental psychology, developmental psychology, and educational psychology. The major requires 124 credit hours. These include 44 hours of general education requirements; 41 hours of psychology program requirements; 18-24 hours of a recognized minor, or area of concentration (courses with the same prefix), and 15-21 hours of free electives.
