4. Describe the American adversarial system of justice

6. Describe pre-litigation and litigation activities following exhibit 2-3

    a. Contrast party pleadings versus service of process

    b. Apply the rules of default judgment, as illustrated in Case 2.2, Cruz v. Fagor America

    c. Explain summary judgments and motions to dismiss

    d. Explain discovery tools

    e. Explain the right to a jury trial, jury selection, rules of evidence, burdens of proof, and judgments n.o.v.
