Dr.
Guffey serves as the Director of Physical Therapy Programs at Arkansas State
University. He holds the rank of tenured Associate Professor.
Stephen joined the faculty of the ASU PT Programs in January of 1996.
He assumed the position of Director in July of 2000. Stephen is a graduate of the Physical Therapy Program at the University of
Central Arkansas. He holds a Master's degree in Exercise Science from the
University of Arkansas and completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership in
the fall of 2000 at Arkansas State University. Stephen teaches various
courses in musculoskeletal physical therapy and in administration. His
research interests include issues related to treatment of low back and pelvic
