Dr. Farris is a tenured Associate
Professor of Physical Therapy in the Programs in Physical Therapy at Arkansas
State University. He has Bachelor's Degrees in Physical Education (California State University, Fresno,
1987, cum laude) and Physical Therapy (Arkansas State University, 1999). He
holds a
Master's Degree (with honors, 1989) awarded from California State University,
Fresno in Physical Education with emphasis in exercise science. He also has a Doctor of Philosophy
(Ph.D.) conferred by THE Ohio State University in Exercise Physiology
(1995). Dr. Farris is licensed as a physical therapist in the state of
Arkansas. He is a member of the APTA and ACSM. His research
interests include adult health with a focus on weight management and prevention
of lifestyle diseases associated with obesity and Sports Nutrition and Endurance
Metabolism.
