The Visual Resources Collection is a resources funded by the Department of Art to support the visual resources needs for teaching and research purposes of the world's visual culture. Our collection is currently composed of circa 81,000 slides, circa 4,000 digital images and 204 video tapes depicting art and architecture from prehistoric times to the present. Arkansas State University faculty, alumni and students may borrow slides. ASU faculty may borrow slides for two weeks; ASU alumni and students may borrow slides for five working days. Please return as soon as you are finished using them to give others access. Slide trays and slide projectors may also be borrowed. Light tables and loupes are available for aiding the slide selected process. Slide orders (for images not in the collection) can be placed by Arkansas State University faculty or students. Three weeks are needed to complete an order. This service is free; new slides remain property of Visual Resources Library. To check-out, simply present ASU ID and selected slides to staff. Slides must be returned to Room 116 of Fine Arts Center.
