Neurobiology Laboratory

Research Focus

Research efforts in our laboratory are aimed at understanding how neurons, the fundamental units of the nervous system, can be rescued from injury and toxic insults.

Mission

v Investigating the trophic and toxic influences of molecules present in the internal and external environment of the nervous system and             finding means to promote the functional viability of neurons through cellular, molecular, bioengineering and bioinformatics approaches.

v Providing an exciting learning and research environment with opportunities for hands on experience using appropriate modern tools and technology to find answers for environmental and biomedical problems in neuroscience to students (high school, under graduate, graduate and postdoctoral), science teachers and visiting research fellows.

v  Developing multi-disciplinary approach in teaching and research through collaborations.

v   Sharing our research outcome, scientific knowledge and resources with   the community.
