  1. Go to the apple symbol in the upper left-hand corner of the desktop, click and select from the pull down menu “CHOOSER”.
  2. On the menu that pops up choose the icon labeled “APPLE SHARE”.
  3. A list of folder names will appear on the right of the menu.  Click on the name “Commfiles”, and then select connect.
  4. You will then be given a menu with two choices as either Registered User, or Guest.  Select Guest.
  5. Another menu will pop up with Shared Folder as your only choice.  Click Connect.
  6. The Shared Folder icon will appear on the desktop directly below the Macintosh Hard Drive icon.
  7. Exit the chooser menu’s by clicking on the square button in the upper right hand corner of the menu.
  8. FIRST!!!!  Double click on the MACINTOSH HARDRIVE, and go to your folder under documents.  “The folder where you copied all of your lessons.”  Now close all of the folders EXCEPT for your folder.  “The one with your name on it.”
  9. Now double click on the Shared Folder icon.  Do not double click on any folder other than the one labeled Post Production Documents.  Double click on the folder named Post Production Documents, and look for the particular document you need.  DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK ON ANYTHING IN THE FOLDER!!!!  If you open a document in the Shared Folder, you will most likely crash the computer that hosts the shared folder.  That would be embarrassing for you.
  10. Drag whatever document you need from the shared folder, to your document folder located on the Macintosh Hard Drive.
  11. DO NOT!!! drag anything in the Shared Folder to the trash.  We are not the only individuals using the Shared Folder.  There are to many important documents to allow any deletions from the Shared Folder.  Also, do not copy anything to the shared folder.  Space is limited on the hard drive that the Shared Folder is located on.
