Basics of creating web pages using professional development software specifically designed for web development and management
FrontPage
Visual InterDev (possibly)
Flash
MS Access

Networking as it applies to the Internet
Site design and management concepts
What this course is not:
Web programming (see MIS 3353)
Java, JavaScript, etc. (see MIS 3303 and/or MIS 3353)
eCommerce (see MKTG 4053)
But
, it should complement and build on these courses
Who is the target population?
Business students interested knowing about the technologies that enable eCommerce
MIS students interested in applying their technical knowledge to help organizations benefit from eCommerce
Nonbusiness students interested in learning about how information technology makes eCommerce possible
Students minoring in eCommerce
Prerequisites: none, but it's assumed you know
How to get around the WorldWide Web to find things, etc.
Microcomputer basics:
MS Word (definitely)
MS Access (would be helpful)
Basic business concepts
Marketing principles
Management concepts
Management information systems
