Spring 2008 has been great for Women and Gender Studies at ASU. We had our first graduate and a very fine first Rachel Smith was. (Read about her many accomplishments here.) She is taking her minor in WGS (along with her English Major) to University of Memphis where she will pursue an MA. We're very proud. Rachel marks an auspicious new beginning for WGS at ASU. Stay tuned to see what we do with our sophomore season. Great things are gonna happen. Make sure you're a part of it. By the way, we can still use your help. Just contact Dr. Schroer.

Help Wanted.

Just a hint about what seems to be just around the bend.
  • Film nights followed by stimulating discussion (and maybe cookies).
  • Speakers on a number of issues important to women.
  • A new women's organization
And that's just the beginning, but to do all this we're going to need your help. Not much (just yet) just a little information. Let us know what you'd like to see and do!
