HPESS FACILITY
RECREATIONAL  HOURS

Fall and Spring Semester 2004-2005

8:00 am. - 10:00 pm. Monday through Thursday

8:00 am. - 5:00 pm. Friday

1:00 pm. - 5:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday

Children (under the age of 13) must be accompanied by an adult.

FREE WEIGHT ROOM HOURS

3:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Monday through Thursday

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Friday

3:30 pm. - 7:00 pm. Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday

3:30 pm. - 5:00 pm. Tuesday & Friday

1:00 pm. - 5:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday

5:00 pm. - 6:00 pm. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: Lap swimmers will be given priority during this time.

Children who cannot swim at least 50 yards must be accompanied by an adult if they desire to swim. Pre-school age children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

EQUIPMENT ROOM

The equipment room will be open when the facility is open. A variety of recreational equipment may be checked out from the equipment room.

ELIGIBILITY

(1) All currently enrolled students, faculty and staff are eligible to use the facilities.

(2) Students who were full time during the Spring semester and are pre-registered for the Fall semester are eligible.

(3) All classified employees possessing a current ASU ID Card are eligible to use the facilities.

(4) Spouses of faculty, staff and students who possess a current Recreation Card are eligible to use the facilities.

(5) Children (ages 13 - 18) of faculty, staff and students may use the facilities with a current Recreation Card.

(6) Children (ages 6 - 12) are permitted to use the acitivity areas when accompanied by an adult if they possess a current Recreation Card.

(7) Alumni who have purchased an Alumni Card through the Alumni office.

ALL PERSONS USING THE FACILITIES ARE EXPECTED TO ABIDE BY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS POSTED IN THE ACTIVITY AREAS.

ABUSE OF THE PRIVILEGE TO ALLOW CHILDREN TO USE THE FACILITIES WILL RESULT IN THE FORFEITURE OF THESES PRIVILEGES.

FEES

Recreation Cards $10.00 per year

Locker/Towel Rental $10.00 per semester or $25.00 per year

GUESTS

Any person possessing his or her ASU ID Card or Recreation Card may bring a guest to use the HPESS Complex facilities during recreation hours. Persons must obtain guest pass at the equipment room (138) at a cost of $5.00 per day. The guest is to abide by all the rules and regulations of the HPESS Complex. The sponsor is responsible for his/her guest.

LOCKER

Adults eligible to use the facilities may rent a locker.

SWIMMING POOL RESERVATION

ASU sponsored groups wishing to use the swimming pool must reserve the pool in advance. It is recommended that you reserve the pool several days in advance in order to ensure the availability of lifeguards. There will be a fee charged to pay the lifeguards. The groups will not be allowed to use the pool during recreational swim hours. All swimmers must wear a regulation swim suit (no cut-offs or shorts). TENNIS COURT LIGHTS

The lights on the tennis courts will remain on until midnight.

RACQUETBALL COURT RESERVATIONS

Courts may be reserved only on the day they are to be used. Only one time per day may be reserved by an individual. Sign up at the equipment room window (no reservations are made over the telephone).
