    Purpose of the Degree

The Master of Science (MS) in Physical Education degree is designed to complement two currently offered programs in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation: The Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree and the non-teaching undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. The MS degree will enable students who do not have a teaching background an opportunity to pursue an advanced degree.

    ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students seeking admission into the Master of Science in Physical Education degree program must meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School for unconditional or conditional status. Students must complete the Miller's Analogies Test or GRE. Candidates who do not meet the physical education program admission requirements will be required to complete undergraduate coursework to meet identified deficiencies. Previously completed coursework will be evaluated on an individual basis to determine if any deficiencies exist in foundation courses for the discipline.
