We
are the only college in Arkansas dedicated to the Arts. The college is comprised
of the Departments of Art, Music, Theatre and Fowler Center. Navigating
through our pages will provide you with information about our college,
departments and programs, and you will learn about the many exciting
opportunities we offer. Our
college facilities include two major recital/performance halls, two theatres and
two art galleries. We present over 300 visual, performing and cultural events
annually for the audiences of Northeast Arkansas and ASU. We
produce a weekly fine arts radio program, “Spotlight on the Arts” which airs
on KASU-FM. Hosted by two faculty members, Joe Bonner and Matt Carey, the show
examines the art events at the college and from around Arkansas. The
College initiated the first study abroad program at ASU where students study art
in Florence, Italy, each summer. The
College is also home to the Delta National Small Prints Exhibition. Established
in 1996 by Professor Evan Lindquist, this annual national competition has become
one of the most significant venues for artists working in two-dimensional print
media. Our departments educate talented men and women to pursue careers in
the arts. Our graduates find careers in many creative areas and performance
areas such as artists, designers, photographers, musicians, singers, composers,
actors, directors and scenic designers. Many of our graduates have excelled as
artist and performers whose works have been seen in galleries, collections, in
concerts, on stage, in film and on television. We look forward to hearing from you. Daniel J. Reeves, Dean
