Sandra Seay

Sandra Seay, assistant professor in voice and music education, joined the ASU music faculty in 1967. Her current teaching assignments include Music and Methods for the Classroom Teacher, Fine Arts Musical, ASU Pops Ensemble, the ASU Faculty-Staff Choir and applied voice lessons. She received her Associate in Fine Arts Degree from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri, her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri; and her Master of Arts in Performance and Music History from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Prior to joining the ASU music faculty, Mrs. Seay taught elementary band and vocal and high school band and choral music at South Callaway R-II in Mokane, Missouri. She was also a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Mrs. Seay presents lecture-recital concerts in the region and her performing ensembles travel to area and regional schools as well. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Pi Kappa Lambda, the Twentieth Century Club of Jonesboro, and the ASU Faculty Women’s Club. She often serves as an adjudicator for area and regional competitions.
