Preservation Hall Jazz Band
|
Since
1952, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band has been performing the
traditional jazz music of New Orleans all over the world. More
than the technical expertise of the group, although they have plenty
of that, it is the band's "soul" that shines through in
its performances. Playing everywhere from the Red Sea Jazz
Festival in Israel, to Japan, to Carnegie Hall, the band's
repertoire includes everything from "Muskrat Ramble" and
"Bourbon Street Parade" to "Just a Closer Walk with
Thee" and their signature piece "When the Saints Go
Marching In".
