Reading assignments are given on the schedule and should be competed before the designated class meeting.
Course requirements:
- an unknown number of reading checks (15%)
- it is vital that you retain returned copies of these papers for later use
- midsemester examination, may include an out-of-class component (20%)
- final examination, may include out-of-class component (25%)
- research paper, on a topic approved by instructor
(20%)
- graduate students will be responsible for assigning readings (appropriate as to relevance, length and difficulty) for study by all students in the class and to lead a discussion in the course of which they will present the results of their research papers
- draft of research paper (10%)
- quality of class participation (10%)
You are responsible for being aware of any postings made to Blackboard at least twenty four hours prior to class. This means you should check Blackboard sometime after 4 pm Sunday (Tuesday) for the Monday (Wednesday) class.
