The semester has ended, but the Commencement procession has marched far into the night.
The Mace Bearer has lost his way.
A mockingbird tries to get their attention.

Note:
The Mace Bearer leads the procession at Commencement.

The University Mace derives from a symbol from past centuries. The earliest maces were large clubs, mighty symbols of brave men who were entrusted to protect the king.

The University Mace is a ceremonial reminder that academic standards of order and authority in the past will continue through the present and into the future.

I was honored to be the Mace Bearer at ASU. The print above is my self-portrait. Thanks to everyone who trusted me to lead them during the ceremonies.
