Burin engraving, 1997

9 x 12 inches (230 x 306 mm)

The leaves of Camelia sinensis are picked, sorted, fired, graded, packed, infused, then poured into a cup. The tea must be sipped carefully and slowly. The leaves that remain at the bottom of the cup will be celebrated for their veracity. The future may be read in the leaves. See and believe.
