Peggy Robinson Wright
Director, Delta Studies Center
Graduated from Arkansas State University with
a BA in Geography and a Master's in Public Administration.
She has worked at East Arkansas Community College as adjunct
faculty and continues today as part-time instructor in Geography
at ASU.
Mrs. Wright is currently a Ph.D. student in
Community Economic Development at Southern New Hampshire
University, Manchester, NH.
She has been involved in
community work for over 25 years, first as a Self-Help Housing
director assisting 66 families to become homeowners and later as
Director of the HIPPY (Home Instruction Program for Pre-School
Youth) Program in St. Francis County. Continuing a passion
for change in communities, she is a member of the Housing
Assistance Council Board, Washington, DC, Arkansas Humanities
Council Board, Delta Service Corps Advisory Board, Girls Scouts
of Crowley's Ridge and Altrusa of Jonesboro.
As
Director of the Delta Studies Center with a passion for
change in communities she works to foster partnerships and
relationships across the Delta region for ASU.
