Search for information about XBRL concerning

What is it?
What does it do?
How does it do what it does?
What are its implications for the future of financial reporting?
How is it organized? (i.e., What are relevant categorizations?)

After you have gathered some information, write a short paper that describes why it is important for you to know more about XBRL.  The paper must have three paragraphs:

Beginning -- Introduction of XBRL and related issue(s)
Middle       -- Make your point(s)
End           -- Summarize and/or draw conclusions

Format requirements for the paper are:

Typed, double-spaced
12 pt. Times New Roman font
1 inch margins all around
No more than two pages

The printed paper  is due to be handed in to me on the date shown on the course schedule and will be graded as follows:

25% for content (Does it "answer the question"?)
25% for organization (Does it have a beginning, middle, end?)
25% for grammar, punctuation, usage, etc. (Those things!)
