Research Paper

Each student will be required to write and orally present in class a research paper on a topic of your choosing subject to my approval.  Your topic should be selected from our Cost Accounting textbook.  Work should begin on this project early.  Only one paper per topic.  

Guidelines:

bullet    10-12 pages in length
bullet    12 point font
bullet    double spaced
bullet    1" margins all around
bullet    Your Reference List should be "current" and arranged                according to the guidelines of the Accounting Review
bullet    a two page summary will be prepared for handout to the class on the due date of the paper
bullet    time has been reserved at the end of the semester for presentation of the paper.  Electronic media (e.g. PowerPoint)  presentations are required.
bullet    grading will be based on content, format and presentation.  Peer evaluations will be utilized during presentations.
