COST ACCOUNTING I LIBRARY/ETHICS/COMMUNICATIONS ASSIGNMENT AND REVISED COMPUTER ASSIGNMENT FALL 2007

Requirement 1: ETHICS
1. Write a page or two defining ethics and ethical behavior. 2. Write 2-3 paragraphs where you discuss ethics in your own words, your own feelings. 3. Write 2-3 paragraphs about what cost accountants must do when faced with an ethical dilemma.

Requirement 2: INTERNATIONAL
Write a page or two on the need to include elements of an international perspective in the course curriculum. Necessary or unnecessary. Useful or useless. Take a point of view and then defend your view. Back up your view with at least one library reference, perhaps a journal article. .
Requirement 3: LIBRARY
1. Write a paragraph defining value-added activities. 2. List 10 value-added activities. 3. Write a paragraph defining non-value added activities 4. List 10 non-value added activities 5. Do you think non-value added activities actually have any value? Yes or no. 6. Write a paragraph about why you think yes or no. 7. Find one Journal article dealing with value-added/non-value added activities from the Library. Make a copy of the first page and write a complete citation on the copied page. A complete citation provided others with all the information they need in case they want to locate and read the journal article.

Compare the cost of attending ASU (College of Business) with the cost of attending the college of business at UA Fayetteville, the University of Central Arkansas, or the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. All of the data you need is available on the schools website. You do not have to do all four schools; just compare ASU to one other.

hours, 6 hours, 9 hours, 12 hours, 15 hours, and 18 hours.
