Occupation Outlook Handbook: This is just like the hardcopy you have in your classroom. This is searchable by keyword. This site is sponsored by the Bureau of Labor Statistics., which as some good in for on salaries and working conditions. |

Career magazine: this contains job openings, employer profiles, products and services, news articles, a career forum, career links, resume bank. |

Career Track: Has much of the same as above except it has an audio and video option which will allow you to see and hear short segments of interviewing and human relations skills. You must have the proper software and speakers to use this function. |

Federal Employee Digest: This one has information of special interest to federal employees, resources, a job market list of federal jobs and more. |

Careerexpo: is an informative website that allows the user to use the Virtual Job Fair Library and Career Resources. This site has job positions. It describes the skills needed for the job and the positions available. It also has the location of the job and many more facts. It also has helpful hints on writing a resume and management tips. |

Careernet: specifies locations for jobs and for employers looking for employees. It lists over 11,000 links to jobs and employers. It also lists the business and education needed for each position. |

Careermart: lists jobs by selecting the area of interest and the state of interest to you. It also has a site to get information from colleges and universities and from community colleges. The uniqueness of this site is that it also lists jobs for alumni of universities. |

This is a game the students can play, called "Dragon Slayer," that gives them information about careers. |

Jobtrak - "The nations leading job listing service" - A good resource for job search tips. This site has a job search guide that gives different processes for finding a job - from networking, to designing your resume, to negotiating your salary. There is an Occupational Outlook Handbook, a personality test, and a salary calculator here. There is also a "city snapshot" section where you can compare cost of livings, climates, and demographics. The students and alumni section has a nice recruiters section that "represent some of the nation's most active recruiters". The employers page has an "index to colleges" that lets you search and locate collegs by major, state, enrollment, or keyword. The "resource center" in the college career staff section has multiple links with other employment-related sites. |
