Procedures for Selection of the  Outstanding
ATA Member of the year

The ATA will, at a regular meeting in March or early April, accept nominations for one of it's members to receive the Outstanding ATA Member Award at the Spring Honors Banquet in April.  Nominees or the person making the nomination will be given the opportunity to speak in regard to the qualification of the person.

The qualifications are based upon:

     1.  Commitment to the ATA as demonstrated through: 
           Attendance at meetings
           Service on committees or as an officer
           Involvement in chapter fund raising activities.
           Involvement in service activities of the chapter.
     2.   Commitment to Ag Ed as demonstrated through:

           Participation in service activities for Ag Ed.

             Grades are above average
            

Procedure:  A brown envelope will be placed on Dr. Agnew's door for members to come by his office and request a ballot and then vote and drop the ballot into the envelope…  Dr. Agnew will check off the name of each person as they pick-up the ballot.  The envelope is sealed with a slot for inserting the ballots….  We then post announcements (on the white board and also thru email) for ATA members to come by and vote.  

The award will be presented at the Spring Honors Banquet in April by Dr. Agnew.
