Much like Lilly in Kevin Henke's book, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, I knew I wanted to be a school teacher at a very young age. I never wavered from that goal. I have, however, added many experiences to my education other than "college classes".

I love to travel.  I have experienced both the culture and cuisine along refreshing ocean shores, in majestic mountains, colorful deserts, and cities large and small on both the North American continent and the European Continent.  The shrimp is wonderful everywhere! The people are colorful, interesting, and quite friendly. 

 My favorite thing to do is read, of course, but I enjoy the creative work involved in quilting.  Choosing one's own palette of colors and designs is challenging and satisfying.
