Students taking an exam

Registry Examinations

The board of Registry (BOR) has announced that deadline dates for application forms will be eliminated for 2005.  As of October 1, 2004, applications will be processed as they are received in their office.  Within 10 business days from receipt of the application form and fee, processing  of applications will begin.  Upon determination of examination eligibility, applicants will receive an admission letter with a three-month window to take the examination beginning the first day of the following month.  Quarterly examination periods will be eliminated.

Before being permitted to sit for the examination, students must complete the NAACLS/CAAHEP accredited training program as well as all academic requirements.  Examination scores will not be released until the final transcript is received.  Applicants applying for examination based on experience will be required to submit all documentation of their eligibility at the time application forms are submitted.

The 2005 Procedures for Examination and Certification, with complete details, is available on the Board of Registry web site at http://www.ascp.org/bor/application/ and in print form by contacting the BOR at bor@ascp.org.
