How to enroll in Blackboard 8

1.      From a computer that is connected to the Internet, open up a web browser. Use Internet Explorer or Netscape (NOT AOL or some other browser as these sometimes cause problems). In the location or address bar, type in the URL: http://blackboard.astate.edu/. This gets you to the main Blackboard page.

 

2.      Use your complete ASU e-mail address to log into Blackboard 8.  Your password for Bb8 is the same as your ASU email password.  If you don't have a student email account yet, or can't remember your password, visit http://smail.astate.edu .

 

  1. After you log into Blackboard 8, you may need to reset your password once if you haven't done so already. Then click “Courses " tab and see if your course is under “Course List.”

 

  1. If you can’t find your course, click  “Browse Course Catalog”

 

  1. Type my last name (Syamil) under “search for a course” and then click Go

 

  1. Find the course you are willing to enroll and then click “Enroll”  on the right side of the web page.

 

  1. Your enrollment is not complete unless you click the “Submit” button in to confirm. You should now be enrolled in the Blackboard portion of your course.
