Triplophysa aluensis Li and Zhu, 2000

Alugudong blind loach

Common Name:  Alugudong blind loach (E).
Etymology:  aluensis (L) for Alugidong Cave.
Major Synonyms:  None.
History:  The type specimen was collected on 20 June 2000.
   

Morphological Characteristics:  Total length 91 mm, SL: 74 mm. D iii,7; P i,9; V i,6; A ii,5; branched caudal fin rays: 13. Similar to T. yunnanensis but differs from the latter among other things, in having eyes in the dorsal region of the head, being scaleless, and forked caudal fin.
