Etymology:  longi (L) long; barbatus (L) barbels.
Major Synonyms:  None.
History:    The first three specimens were collected during February and March 1995 by a joint Slovenian-Chinese expedition.
   

Morphological Characteristics:  Rostral and maxillary barbels are well developed.

Distribution:  China: Guizhou province: Libo county, in a cave 13 km northeast of the town of Libo (ca. 25o 15' N, 108o 00' E).
