Biographical BackgroundFrom 1920 until 1957 she was a member of the Società Italiana di Scienza
Naturali and from 1922 until 1948 was the curator of zoology at the Museo
di Storia Naturale di Milano. Between 1923 and 1939 she worked mostly
on fishes. Starting on 1940 she had an interest on human genetics
working first as a researcher and later as director of the
Centro di Studi di Genetica Umana dell’Università di Milano.

She published
eight articles on hypogean fishes and described Uegitglanis zammaranoi (Gianferrari 1923). |
