Radiologic Technology Alumni

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Arkansas State University is administered by the Department of Health Professions in the College of Nursing & Health Professions. The Bachelor of Science degree with a major emphasis in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Abdominal and Obstetrics-Gynecology is granted upon completion of the required hours.

The diagnostic medical sonography program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in the general concentration, Abdominal and Obstetric/ Gynecologic Sonography.  Minimal vascular experience is included in the 18 month program.

During the program, the student is required to complete a structured rotation through sonography departments of the chosen clinical affiliates. Students must provide their own transportation to the clinical sites. When determining cost, consideration should be given to this additional expense.
